Summary:

My overall experience with my capstone presentation was great. I think the judges asked decent questions and it was not as scary as I thought it would be. The hardest part of my capstone presentation was the anticipation of waiting for the judges to come and judge me. The most fun part was explaining and sharing my idea to the public. I wish I would have remembered to show the judges the house I was comparing my design to.

Info Poster

Creating my capstone poster was quite hard for me to make. My end product for my capstone is complex so it was hard to figure out which information should be on there. At one point I put too much information and the poster became crowded. So, I decided to just pick one feature of my end product and display it on the poster. I chose to use the main focus of my product which was the geodesic home. I put one main concept of what the geodesic home could do and that was saving 50% on money, energy, heat, and air conditioning. I think it came out well but I hope to change the shape scheme on the poster.

PSA Video

I addressed my statement by using word movement and effects to music. I tried to make it up beat to keep my watchers attention. I did indeed meet all of the requirements. The only thing is I went over 60 seconds for the amount of time the video was suppose to be. What I would do differently next time for my video is to edit the ending a bit more because I felt it was off touch with the song. The easiest thing about doing this video was creating it once I had all the information. The hardest part about creating this video was trying to figure out what I was going to put in the video.

It was a fun process creating the video, and I like IMovie way better than premiere pro.

Blog Entry 1:

a.)  My goal for this project is to have a better understanding of how the real estate and green world works and what solutions could be given to solve the problems within this area.

b.) It is important for us to care about these types of issues because we live in a world where the environment is becoming increasingly unhealthy for not only the human population, but everything else that lives or stands on Earth. A solution that can solve the small problems can go a long way in this process.

c.) I want to become a real estate developer and own my own commercial and residential buildings. My capstone goals will help me build a prototype for the future of my company.

d) My project will help people afford homes that look and feel amazing from the interior and exterior components of the home.
